Korppimuotokuvia Kaliforniasta - Common raven in Californian portrait

Korpin sopeutuminen on ällistyttävä. Värriön luonnonpuiston liepeillä se lentää 40 asteen pakkasessa. Mojaven autiomaassa se lentää 40 asteen kuumuudessa.

Common raven (Corvus corax) is found as wilderness species both in Europe and in North America. This specimen was photographed in Ludlow, south of Mojave desert. The adaptation of Common raven to climatic extremes is astonishing. In Varrio Nature Reserve it flies in the coldness of -40 degrees, in Mojave desert in the heat of +40 degrees (Celcius -scale).
