Lapasorsa - Anas clypeata - Northern shoveler (Kalifornian matkalta - from California)
Lapasorsa on pohjoisella pallonpuoliskolla laajalle levinnyt lajia. Sen englanninkielinen nimikin - Northern shoveler - kertoo pohjoisesta lapioijasta. Kuvan naarasyksilö ui Malibun laguunilla Los Angelesissa.Lapasorsa pesii säännöllisesti Lapissa, mutta sen pesivä kanta on alle 100 paria. Värriön luonnonpuistossa lapasorsaa ei ole vielä havaittu.
Northern shoveler is found in the northern waters both in Europe and North America. This female specimen was swimming in the Malibu Lagoon of Los Angeles.
Northern shoveler nests regularly in Finnish Lapland, but its nesting stock is under 100 pairs. The species has not yet been observed in Varrio Nature Reserve.
