Pepe kesyttää kettua - Professor Pertti Hari taming fox
Eilen illalla kurssimme pääsi todentamaan Pepen (Pertti Hari) ketunkesytystaitoja, kun aseman ympäristöön tuli koiria härnäämään hyvinsyöneen näköinen tuuheahäntäinen kettu. Pian eläin kuitenkin huomasi ilmeisen mielenkiintoisen hyväntahtoisen metsäekologian professorin, joka yritti kovasti tyrkyttää sille erilaisia elintarvikkeita. Lopulta kettu rohkeni näinkin lähelle juustopalaa ojentavaa Pepeä. E-MK
For a couple of years a rather tame red fox (Vulpes vulpes) has been hanging around the Varrio Research Station. It has been photographed several times at a distance. The fox has become tamer and tamer. Professor Pertti Hari (of Forest Ecology), however, reached an unquestionable record. He managed to call the fox nearer and neared and fi bally to feed the fox with a piece of cheese.
