Riemukkaita rakeita - Hailing in Varrio
Pitkän kylmäjakson jälkeen tuuli kääntyi ja aurinko paistoi tänään niin, että lämpötila käväisi jo parissakymmenessä asteessa. Ilma alkoi pyrkiä tukalan puolelle, mutta sitten ukkonen tuli, täräytti tunturia ja paiskasi riemukkaat rakeet peräänsä.
Rakeita tuli reippaasti, ja Kuutsjärven pinta kuohui. Rakeet olivat keskimääräistä isompia, halkaisijaltaan lähes yhden senttimetrin kokoisia.
The weather changed in the night from the stubborn low pressure and eastern wind. Consequently, the temperature rose in the morning to 20 degrees.
But then at noon thunder and lightning responded, and a rapid shower of hail was pouring to the soil, and also to the surface of the Kuutsjarvi lake. The hails were bigger than average, almost one centimeter by diameter.
