At the end of January the trees are covered by heavy frost, which is typical for these highlands. The weak midday sunlight cannot melt the frost yet.
The pictures have been taken northwest of Rakitsa hill, over the Kotovaara (SMEAR) hill. In the front some frosty mountain birches of Rakitsa.
