Värriön luontopäiväkirja - Varrio nature diary

Tänään kuurosateita vaelsi Värriön luonnonpuiston yli. Kun kuuropilvien välissä paistoi aurinko, niin sateenkaarihan siitä syntyi. Kuva otettu Värriö ykkösen laelta, sateenkaaren tuolla puolen Nuorttitunturi, etualalla Kotovaara, oikeassa laidassa näkyy SMEAR-torni.

Ennen sadetta Värriö ykkösen rinteellä lennähteli taas tuulihaukka, koosta päätellen koiras.

Today rain showers were passing by over Varrio fells. As the sun was shining in between, rainbow was soon there. The photo has been taken from top of Varrio I.

Kotovaara hill is in the front. Smear tower is seen in the right corner of the photo.

Somewhere over the rainbow,
way up high.
There's a land that I heard of
once in a lullaby.

This distant land belongs to Nuorttitunturi fell.

Before the rain a male Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) was flying over Varrio I.
