Pirunkurun kanjoni on tutkimusasemasta puolen kilometrin päässä luoteessa, Kotovaaran ja Jyppyrävaaran välissä. Kurun yläpäässä väikkyy lampi.

Devil's canyon is half a kilometer northwest of the base, in the gorge between Kotovaara and Jyppyravaara hills. A small pond is at the bottom of the gorge.

The cliffs around the pond are so steep that reindeers cannot graze there and gorgeous Cladonia lichens are found there.
