Mesimarjan maa - Land of Arctic Bramble, Rubus arcticus

Arctic Bramble (Rubus arcticus) is not very common in the old forests of Varrio Nature Reserve. Its distribution is typically arctic and it is found on suitable sites in Varrio, when the moist soil is revealed. This happens when old Norway spruces are fallen down in storms. In such places the Arctic Bramble flowers pretty late. The berry yield is not anything remarkable either.
