The Scots pine dominated forests between Varrio fells are typical environments for Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus). The alarm call of Mistle Thrush resembles the voice of rattle snake. Sometimes the bird is described by its voice as the rattle snake of boreal forests.

Such rattling voice by the parents guided me to the chick of Mistle Thrush, although the parent birds apparently tried to pull me away from the bird instead of letting me to very near to the chick to photograph it.
