Korpin pesä / A nest of Raven
Lumisadepäivä. Tuulee lounaasta, hieman on lämmennyt, mutta luonto on vielä hiljainen. Muurahaismättäässä ei näy elämää.
Mutta elämää on. Korppipari on tuoreen pesän luona Kuivahaaralla. Kellertävistä oksien päistä näkee, että ne on vasta katkaistu. Reviiri on vanha, ollut jo vuosia käytössä. Ilmeisesti pesässä on munat, joten on syytä kiiruhtaa pois paikalta.
Myös hanhiaura, 8-9 lintua lentää lumisateessa ja myötätuulessa koillisen suuntaan Männikkömuristan ohi klo 13.30. Joku parvi on kuulemma palannut takaisinkin etelään päin kylmien säiden pelottamana, mutta nämä uskovat kevään kohta voittavan. TH
It was snowing today. Wind blows from the SW. It is a little warmer, but the nature is still silent. There is no sign of life on ant hill.
But there is life in nature. A pair of Ravens is by the new nest on Kuivahaara-river. We can see yellowish ends of branches in the nest and they tell us, that they had been broken a little while ago. This nesting territory is old, it has been already many years in use. Obviously there are eggs on the nest, so I must go away at once.
There is also a flock of Geese, 8-9 birds flying in snowfall and SW-wind to NE above Männikkömurista-hill at 13.30. I heard, that there were seen flocks, which were returning to south because of cold weathers. These birds, however believe, that spring will win soon.
