Värriön luontopäiväkirja - Varrio nature diary

Aurinko paisteli tänään matalalta värjäten maisemaa punertavaksi, mm. tässä Värriö 3. E-puolella.

Hirvasjoen E-puolella kuusikossa parinkymmenen yksilön käpylintuparvi pörähti yht'äkkiä lentoon klo 13.50. Siinä oli ainakin pikkukäppäreitä ja kirjosiipiä. Muutama jäi puihin varoittelemaan. En löytänyt paikalta kuitenkaan mitään. Syy pelästymiseen selvisi klo 14.30. N. 300 m paikalta pohjoiseen oli kuusenlatvassa hiiripöllö, joka oli liikkeessä vaihtaen heti puunlatvaa. TH

Sun shined low today and dyed the landscape reddish, like for ex. here on the E-side of Värriö 3.

On the E-side of Hirvasjoki in spruce wood a flock of crossbills about 20 birds suddenly took away flight at 13.50. There were at least Common Crossbills and White-barried ones. Also a few stayed on trees warning. However, I ddidn't find anything there. The reason of the alarm was found at 14.30. 300 m to the N from the place there was Hawk Owl on the top of spruce. He was om the move andflew to another top at once.
