Värriön luontopäiväkirja - Varrio nature diary

Elokuun alussa, kun loppukesän kosteus ilmestyy varvikkoon, sammakot lähtevät liikkeelle. Värriön luonnonpuistossakin tavallisin laji on nimeltään sammakko, eli tavallinen sammakko (Rana temporaria). Se kuuluu aitosammakoiden (Ranidae) heimoon.

In the beginning of August, when the late summer moisture appears in the forest, the frogs start to move. Also in Varrio Nature Reserve the most common frog is the Common frog, or European common frog (Rana temporaria). It belongs to the family Ranidae, True Frogs.
