Koivun hiirenkorvavaihe ohitettiin tutkimusaseman fenologiahavaintojen mukaan 27.5.2006. Sen jälkeen koivun lehdet ovat kasvaneet vain hieman, ilmojen jäähdyttyä. Kuva Rakitsan itärinteellä, taustalla häämöttävä tunturi on Sauoiva.

The bud burst stage of birches was passed on 27 May 2006, according to the phenological observations of the station. Since then the leaves have grown only little, as the weather cooled considerably. The photo was taken on the eastern slope of Rakitsa hill, in the distance the silhouette of Sauoiva fell is seen.
