When the snow has melted from the fell trees the damages of heavy snow become more visible. Most susceptible is Scots pine and a few broken mountain mirches are also found. It rather rare that Norway spruce breaks, because the candle-formed trees get usually a sturdy sugarcone type snow cover. This broken specimen, however, was found in Varrio II
