Värriön luontopäiväkirja - Varrio nature diary

Tasan vuosi sitten Värriö kakkosen kaakkoisrinteessä, ja väliin kolmosen pohjoisrinteessä asusti kiirunapari. Sama pari pesi ilmeisesti Värriö ykkösellä kesällä 2005. Monista etsinnöistä huolimatta kiirunoita ei ole talvella 2006 ainakaan Värriötuntureiden pohjoispäästä löytynyt. Lieneekö ollut haukka asialla? - Tämä kiirunapari on kuvattu 6.2.2005.

Just a year ago a couple of rock ptarmigans (Lagopus mutus) resided in Varrio II, and sometimes in Varrio III. Despite several searches the rock ptarmigans have not been found in winter 2006, at least not in the northern part of Varrio fells. Has the falcon found them? - This couple was photographed on 6 February 2005.
