Smear mittausaseman säätorni mittaa ilmastoa useilta korkeuksilta, aina 15 metriin asti. Liikkuvia osia on vähän, ja kovallakin pakkasella mittaus sujuu ongelmitta. Enimmät huurteet kopistellaan pois.

Smear weather tower measures the climatic variables in several heights, upt to 15 meters. There are only few movin parts in the tower, and even at low minus temperatures the measurement continues without big problems. If too much frozen dew gather in the tower it must be removed by shaking of knoking the tower.
