Leutoja syysöitä Värriössä - Warm autumn nights in Varrio

Last nights have been very cold in most part of Lapland and minus degrees have been common. Varrio reseach station is situated 365 meter above sea level and here nights have been warmer than in lower areas. The lowest temperature of two last nights was +1 degree centigrade. Aspen (Populus tremula) does not need night frosts to get beautiful autumn colours. (PM)
